What Should I Bring?
Bring a yoga mat and a bottle of water (we have rental mats available if you need one). You'll be most comfortable in yoga pants and a shirt that can be tucked in. Any clothing that isn't too baggy that you can move freely in will work best.
What Should I Expect?
Expect to have fun! Aerial Yoga and Circus Conditioning are new and fun ways to work out. Some exercises will be easy and others will be more challenging. Remember that everyone was a beginner once, and some things take a bit getting used to. Our classes are full of happy flyers who want to make sure you stick with is so you can soar...speaking of soar..... expect to be a little sore after your first class. You'll likely be using muscles in ways you don't usually use.
We recommend a bath in Epsom salts or you can purchase our in-house made After-Flight workout salve that will help you with soreness.
Is It Safe?
Kudzu's Vines (Aerial Hammocks) are made of a special fabric and our rigging has been certified by engineers (see the certification hanging in our studio).
There are some minimal risks that can be reduced when practicing with an instructor who has an extensive knowledge of proper alignment.
Your teacher is there to help you get the most out of your workout and to keep you safe. Listen carefully to your instructor and listen to your body. If you know you can't do a move because of a pre-existing condition or injury, don't do it! Modifications exist for nearly every exercise.
